The Senior Women National Team, Super Falcons, were forced
to a 1-1 draw in Dakar on Friday in an Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifying
match.
Playing at the Stade Demba Diop in the Senegalese capital,
the reigning African champions created a host of opportunities before
substitute Chioma Wogu shot Nigeria into the lead a minute to half time.
Senegal, winners over Guinea in the previous round, mounted
pressure in the second period and got the equalizer to ensure a respectable
result in front of their fans.
The return leg will take place at the National Stadium
Complex, Abuja on Tuesday, 12th April starting from 4pm.
