MFM FC go top of league table



MFM FC have now gone two points clear at the top of the Nigeria Premier League table after MatchDay six actions.

MFM beat visiting El Kanemi Warriors 3-1 at the Agege stadium on Sunday to go top of the league table with 13 points, two clear of second placed Enugu Rangers, who drew 2-2 with Abia Warriors.

FC IfeanyiUbah recorded a comfortable 4-1 home victory over Ikorodu United to move to ten points, leaving the Lagos based club on 16th place on the log with five points from five games.



Kano Pillars drew 2-2 with host Lobi Stars, while Giwa FC managed a 1-0 win over Sunshine Stars, who continued their poor start to the season.

Niger Tornadoes and Rivers United battled to a five goal thriller, with the Northern team winning 3-2 at the Confluence stadium in Lokoja.

On Friday night, Akwa United had beaten Plateau United 2-0 to move to the 9th position with seven points.
