The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed former player
Samson Siasia as coach of the national U23 side.
Siasia, a former handler of the Super Eagles, has also
coached the national U20 team of Nigeria.

“The (NFF) Committee has appointed Mr. Samson Siasia as the
new Head Coach of the U-23 Men’s Team. He will be assisted by Fatai Amoo.”
Siasia’s immediate responsibility will be to qualify Nigeria
for the football event of the 2016 Olympics which will be held in Rio de
Janeiro Brazil on Aug 5-21.
Siasia has now replaced Austin Eguavoen who was sacked after
failing to qualify Nigeria for the football event of the 2012 Olympics.
